| Vincent Gervais, B.Comm, CBV, P.App., AACI |
Vincent has developed a multifaceted valuation and real estate appraisal practice, working with privately held companies of all sizes across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. Since 2008, Vincent has completed business valuations, damage quantifications, and Guideline Income calculations for clients in a wide range of industries.
His professional career began with MNP preparing files for Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC companies, before he went on to build his own valuation practice within one of Alberta’s most esteemed commercial real estate appraisal firms – Frost Valuations. Over the years, Vincent has been engaged for assignments involving business acquisitions and divestitures, loss quantifications from expropriation, matrimonial property and income matters, tax and estate planning, partnership and shareholder disputes, compensation assessments, employee ownership transitions, and numerous litigation‑driven mandates. His damages-based work includes quantifying business interruption losses, lost opportunities, contractual disputes, and additional or extraordinary expenses.
The Court of King’s Bench recognized Vincent as an expert in Business Valuations and Guideline Income Calculations in 2016. Vincent earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006, majoring in accounting and finance. He achieved his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation in 2011 and later completed the Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) designation, expanding his expertise to include real property valuation alongside business valuation. In addition to his advisory practice, he managed his family’s residential rental properties, including both single‑tenant and multi‑tenant holdings.
He participates in several business and professional groups, including the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Business Development Group (past), the Edmonton Executives Association, Board Member of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Edmonton), Alberta Expropriation Association, as well as valuation peer groups, and others. Outside of his valuation work, Vincent is an avid runner and paradoxically a cigar afficionado.
